Veronica Watts

As manager of state affairs, Veronica Watts works to promote Emory's priorities in the higher education and healthcare spheres. She works directly with the executive office, Georgia General Assembly, and state agencies to make sure Emory's initiatives are being heard. 

Watts has worked in Georgia law, politics, and healthcare for 4 years including being a legislative staffer for a Georgia State Senator. Her experience also includes working at a practicioner's office, a disability and workers compensation law firm, and a personal injury firm. 

Watts has a BA in international affairs from the School of Public and International Affairs and a BA in German studies from the Germanic and Slavic Studies School at the University of Georgia. While at UGA, Watts served as the President of Active Minds, a mental health advocacy group, for two years.
