Elizabeth Goines
Assistant Director of Federal Affairs
As assistant director of federal affairs, Elizabeth works to advance Emory's priorities in higher education and healthcare. She works directly with the White House, Congress, and federal agencies to advocate for Emory's initiatives.
Before joining Emory, Elizabeth spent over three years working on Capitol Hill for a member of the Georgia congressional delegation. During her time there, she handled a variety of policy issues, including higher education, and worked closely with lawmakers, staff, congressional committees, and stakeholders.
An Atlanta native, Elizabeth graduated from Georgia Southern University, where she played on the women’s tennis team. She earned a degree in public relations.
