Our advocacy efforts continue to focus on the following:

  • Increasing funding for science research (NIH and NSF) and the arts and humanities (NEA & NEH)
  • Protecting long-term federal funding for Medicare, Medicaid and graduate medical education and health professions programs
  • Bringing attention to the crisis of the uninsured
  • Addressing immigration barriers for researchers, students and visiting scholars
  • Making tax laws for graduate students more equitable.
  • Enhancing student aid programs and funding
